UC-CHTM Celebrates Love and Friendship on Heart’s Day

The Cañao Creativity Hall was filled with joy and camaraderie on February 14, 2024, as the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), in partnership with the College Student Council (CSC) and the League of Tourism Students of the Philippines – UC Chapter (LTSP), hosted “Heart’s Day: Sweets and Serenades.” This event aimed to foster connections, strengthen friendships, and celebrate love in its many forms among CHTM students.

The afternoon began with lively opening remarks, setting a festive tone for the event. A standout feature was the “Harana Segment,” where anonymous love letters were read aloud alongside serenades, creating an atmosphere of romance and excitement. Students participated in icebreaker activities, encouraging interaction and bonding. One of the day’s highlights was the selection of the Top 5 Mr. and Ms. Valentines, recognizing individuals who exemplified friendship and admiration within the community.

Adding depth to the celebration, a TED Talk focused on love and connection, inspiring attendees to reflect on the importance of relationships in their lives. More interactive activities, such as the “KapareWHO” game, encouraged students to meet new people and create meaningful connections. The event wrapped up with a Q&A session and the much-anticipated awarding of Mr. and Ms. Valentines.

As the program drew to a close, Mr. Ryan Roy Q. Bartolome delivered heartfelt closing remarks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. “Heart’s Day: Sweets and Serenades” not only brought joy to the CHTM community but also reinforced the idea that love and friendship should be cherished and celebrated every day.
