Ms. Anne Czarina B. Ami, serving as team lead, traveled to Malaysia to present her team’s research titled “𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢-𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬: 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤” at this prestigious IFERP Life Sciences Academy conference.

Ms. Ami presented on behalf of her research team members Mr. Lance Kyle M. Perey, Ms. Zeira Tamayo, and Ms. Eunica Joy Ustari, who remained in the Philippines. The team is guided by advisers Mr. Ruel Ramirez and Ms. Laarni Lourdes B. Andam, with Ms. Andam accompanying Ms. Ami to Malaysia to provide on-site support.

The team’s study combines community-driven business models with breakfast feeding programs using the Philippines’ official Pinggang Pinoy framework. This research addresses nutritional security in Filipino communities through mobile nutrition solutions, demonstrating practical applications of nutrition science in developing sustainable food delivery systems.

Ms. Ami’s presentation at ICFN-2025 allowed UC CHTM to share Filipino innovation in community nutrition with international experts, showcasing how local dietary guidelines can be integrated into effective feeding programs. The conference brought together nutritionists, researchers, and health experts from around the world, providing valuable networking opportunities and international recognition for UC CHTM’s research excellence.
