The innovative concept stood out among 15 entries, earning the top spot from five finalists who presented at the live competition.
This year’s conference, attended by 800 participants from 45 schools and universities across the Philippines, featured six competitive categories, including Destination Marketing Plan Competition, Research Infographic-Poster Presentation, Travel Vlog Competition, Travel Brochure-Making Competition, Mx. Turismo and the newly introduced Tourism Start-Up Competition. UC CHTM proudly represented in multiple categories, with the LocaTOUR project securing a well-deserved victory.
The team’s success was guided by the mentorship of UC CHTM faculty members Ms. Laarni Lourdes B. Andam and Mr. Lloyd C. Diawan. Their dedication and expertise helped refine the proposal, ensuring it aligned with the conference’s theme of sustainable and innovative tourism solutions.
