The University of the Cordilleras – College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (UC CHTM) made a remarkable mark at the 16th Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism (HRT) Week held from September 21–23, 2023, in Baguio City. This annual event, organized by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB), gathered hospitality, tourism, and culinary students and professionals across Luzon, highlighting various competitions, seminars, and workshops.
UC CHTM students achieved significant victories, securing:

Additionally, the students were awarded five diploma certificates in Bellman’s Hour, Coffee Concoction, and U.S.A. P.E.E.C. “All Hands-On Duck” Cooking Competition, reflecting their proficiency across diverse hospitality and culinary disciplines.
UC CHTM also shone in the pageant competition, with Ms. Zeira Tamayo earning the 3rd Runner-Up title for Ms. HRAB 2023 and Mr. Dominique Balandi securing the 4th Runner-Up title for Mr. HRAB 2023.
HRT Week is more than a competition—it is a platform for showcasing talent, fostering collaboration, and celebrating the vibrancy of the hospitality and tourism industry. Alongside the competitions, the event featured seminars and workshops aimed at equipping participants with cutting-edge insights and skills relevant to the evolving landscape of tourism and hospitality.
