Zoeui Mikaella S. Manangan, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management student majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Administration at the University of the Cordilleras – College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (UC CHTM), achieved a remarkable feat as the 1st Runner-Up in the Bacardi U-Mix National Student Competition.
The event, held on April 11, 2023, in Makati, featured six talented finalists selected from a staggering pool of 855 participants across the country. Organized by Bacardi Philippines, PHL BAR PRO, and Monin Philippines, the Bacardi U-Mix competition is a premier mixology contest designed to highlight the extraordinary skills of students in interactive bartending and the art of crafting the ultimate cocktail.
Zoeui captivated the judges with her signature drink, Reketera. Drawing inspiration from her journey as a self-supporting working student, she infused her cocktail with a narrative of resilience and determination. Her creation not only reflected her bartending prowess but also resonated with the struggles and triumphs of many working students.
Guided by the expert mentorship of UC CHTM faculty member Mr. Lloyd C. Diawan, Zoeui’s performance showcased her dedication, creativity, and passion for mixology. Her achievement underscores the world-class training and talent nurtured at UC CHTM, further solidifying the institution’s reputation for producing industry-ready professionals.
Zoeui’s success serves as an inspiration to her peers and a testament to the boundless opportunities in the field of hospitality and tourism management.
